So, I'm just going to jump right back into it (it being blogging, that thing I used to do daily). No explanation about why I've been gone. No side note about how I've been spending my computer time searching for a dog when I don't even have a fence yet (okay, maybe one sentence).
Instead a quick comment about how GracieGirl saw some pigeons today and "one was trying to ride the other one's back!" And "did you know that dragonflies ride piggyback too?" And some day way too soon this will all make prefect sense to her.
Why can't I pause moments like that forever? Can't I just enjoy that sheer delight and utter innoscence forever? And if I can pause that one, can I also pause the one where B runs toward me with a little skip (while pumping her right arm wildly to make it a true jog). xoxo
Glad to have you back!!!! :)

That's hilarious! But when they know what it means is the beginning of Randy's ulcers, so I'm sure he's cherishing the innocence even more.
Nate yesterday asked Heather to "call me and find out where I was, but don't ask where the HELL I was."

While waiting during one of Jim's early chemo sessions, Marissa, then in third grade and obviously having pondered the above topic for some time, announced to all present that, 'that's why people wear clothes and animals don't!! 'cause you can always see animals together everywhere...they don't even care!!'. And we thought leap frog and piggy back games were still working!!
